About the late Virginia Taylor
Virginia Taylor passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009.
Virginia concentrated her time and energy on her family. As a wife for 59 years, she was proud of the Taylor’s three children and seven grandchildren. Daughter Sherry is a neo-natology nurse and a mother of four. Jack Jr. is an attorney and partner in a major private equity fund in New York and Amy, formerly of WKRS has taken time off from her duties as morning news anchor and morning radio host on WTMJ-TV and WKTI-FM in Milwaukee to be with her triplets. The girls are now four years old. Virginia’s wacky sense of humor has prompted suggestions that she be on the air. Listeners to WKRS will learn why her dog had condoms, why she unloaded a horse upside down, she overdosed on Krispy Kremes and why her family made Tennessee Williams characters seem tame. Irregular radio will be heard on WKRS. Regular radio is frequently political, confrontational and sometimes filthy, but Virginia and Jack had none of that. The show was fun, interesting, relevant and interactive. Listener reaction will be an important part. Virginia lived in Lake County for nearly 50 years and Jack is happy to be a part of “The Voice of Lake County” 1220 WKRS.
