(Barrington, IL) Remains found Sunday in a Barrington Forest Preserve could be that of a man missing for just over 5 months. Robert Nelson, a Barrington resident, left his home on October 6th last year, leaving behind his wallet, cell phone and vehicle. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office and other authorities jumped into the investigation, but were never able to locate any sign of the 47-year-old. Sunday’s discovery was made by a group of people in the Grassy Lake Forest Preserve. Nelson’s wedding ring was discovered amongst the small amount of bones, as was a shotgun.
